ASCII_IS_PRINT() / ASCII_IsPrint()

Determines whether a character is a printing character.

Arguments

ch

Character to examine.

Returned Value

DEF_YES,

if character is a printing character;

DEF_NO,

if character is not a printing character.

Required Configuration

None.

Notes / Warnings

ISO/IEC 9899:TC2, Section 7.4.1.8.(2) states that “isprint() ... tests for any printing character including space (' ')”. ISO/IEC 9899:TC2, Section 7.4.(3), Note 169, states that in “the seven-bit US ASCII character set, the printing characters are those whose values lie from 0x20 (space) through 0x7E (tilde)”.

Example Usage

          CPU_CHAR     ch;
          CPU_BOOLEAN  print;


          ch    = ASCII_CHAR_LATIN_UPPER_G;
          print = ASCII_IS_PRINT(ch);
