ASCII_IS_SPACE() / ASCII_IsSpace()

Determines whether a character is a white-space character.

Arguments

ch

Character to examine.

Returned Value

DEF_YES,

if character is a white-space character;

DEF_NO,

if character is not a white-space character.

Required Configuration

None.

Notes / Warnings

ISO/IEC 9899:TC2, Section 7.4.1.10.(2) states that “isspace() returns true only for the standard white-space characters”. ISO/IEC 9899:TC2, Section 7.4.1.10.(2) defines “the standard white-space characters” as the “space (' '), form feed ('\f'), new-line ('\n'), carriage return ('\r'), horizontal tab ('\t'), and vertical tab ('\v')”.

Example Usage

          CPU_CHAR     ch;
          CPU_BOOLEAN  space;


          ch    = ASCII_CHAR_CARRIAGE_RETURN;
          space = ASCII_IS_SPACE(ch);
