Validate an IPv6 host address.

Arguments

p_addr_host

Pointer to IPv6 host address to validate.

Returned Value

DEF_YES, if IPv6 host address is valid.
DEF_NO, otherwise.

Required Configuration

None.

Notes / Warnings

A valid IPv6 host address must not be one of the following  :

  • The unspecified address
  • The loopback address
  • A multicast address
