DNS (Domain Name Service) is a distributed directory service for internet resources. It enables internet resources (such as servers) to be referenced by names (e.g. ‘www.micrium.com’) instead of their IP addresses, that are meaningless, hard to remember, and sometimes changing over time.

µC/DNSc is an add-on product to µC/TCP-IP that implementing part of the following RFC:

This document describes how to configure and use the µC/DNSc module in a µC/TCP-IP and µC/OS-II or µC/OS-III environment.
