Determines whether a character is an alphabetic character.

Arguments

c

Character to examine.

Returned Value

DEF_YES,

if character is an alphabetic character;

DEF_NO,

if character is not an alphabetic character.

Required Configuration

None.

Notes / Warnings

ISO/IEC 9899:TC2, Section 7.4.1.2.(2) states that “isalpha() returns true only for the characters for which isupper() or islower() is true”.

Example Usage

          CPU_CHAR     c;
          CPU_BOOLEAN  alpha;
           
          c     = ASCII_CHAR_LATIN_UPPER_G;
          alpha = ASCII_IS_ALPHA(c);
